I like this baby name book, it's nice to have something to flip through as opposed to using baby name websites. The first set of pages with all the charts and extra info is cool and informative, especially if you don't (or do) want to give you baby the #1 most popular name.My only complaint is that it has nicknames as the main title for a name. For example "Joe (English) Form of Joseph." Then it says a meaning and then a list of nicknames for it. Is this just a way for them to say the name is English? I have never seen Joseph listed as an English name, although I supposed they think Joe is? Additionally on the next page you see the name "Joseph (Hebrew)" and Joe listed as the nickname. I think having the full name in there and the nicknames listed once is more than enough. I suppose it is just a way for them to beef the book up as the more I looked through the book the more I saw nicknames and full names listed separately.Also be prepared to laugh at the hilarious "American" names they've added to this book as well. Mostly it is just random words out of a dictionary with their meaning next to it.

This book has every a symbolic meaning (A to Z) you could think of, rather dream of. It has a short description of the dreamsymbol along with a scripture reference (you have to look that up in the Bible). I now refer to this book rather than going to the internet, because it's hard to find a biblical and spiritual read on dreams. I gave it 4 stars because of the cover design, but then again maybe the author had a reason for using the color scheme according to his book.

My husband has dreams often, me, just every once in a while; but I have gone to this book often & it has helped us with the help of the Lord, on many, many occasions. It is worth having in one's e-books or personal purchase in your home. I recommend it highly. Of course, always seek the Lord, as He knows what He's telling you through dreams, but this book does help as a guide, in my opinion.

Great book for anyone who wants tools for dream interpretation by A-Z symbols; the author took a step further by naming colors and numbers as well.. A must read for anyone wanting a quick guide to interpret dreams. It took an hour to go through this great book, as I was scanning and highlighting the symbols that I experienced in my dreams.

This has been a good tool in discerning what God is saying in my dreams. I stress it is a tool and not God's word. When I have a dream from God I use this to help identify things and take it to God and ask Him if that's what He is saying. It's been very helpful.

I really like the book. It's very limited in what you can do. You can't copy and paste to other documents you can't pull information out of the book and put it somewhere else like another application. But other than that is really good book.

This book helped me to some extent to figure out the meaning of the things I saw in my dreams. I was able yo make sense of it.The draw back is that there were some areas where I felt warranted a little more insight.The big take away for me is that the information was gleaned from the Scriptures.

Biblical Dream Symbols Dictionary 2nd Edition is a great resource for beginning learners of Christian dream interpretation. Mr. Wolfe notes in the book that his symbol meanings are limited to the dreams he's interpreted over the years and that's what makes this perfect for those just starting out. Mr. Wolfe's website is one of a few that the Dream Team I'm on uses in Level 1 training for new interpreters. This book is an excellent resource to have in a believer's library if for no other reason than the price.

Great book, very clear and to the point on biblical dream symbols. I really like that it references the connecting scriptures. I would love to see more entries.

After{quite interestingly}disecting the Romans and their slave perpetuated economy, he turns to Jewish non violent resistance, Messianic movements social community{including,a fascinating discussion on the half shekel temple tax},and eventually, a short concluding chapter on Jesus and Social revolution. This is a very well researched,well written study{though Im am not certain that all of the leaps are justified}Another inetesting book to the canon.As for the accusation that this is a Jesus for the secular left,I have found that whatever your political leanings are, one tends to attach them to Jesus. This ,though seems obvious to most, Jesus was poor, his friends and family were poor, most of his assocaites were poor,and almost everyone who initially heard His message were poor. That this sudy ,then would approach Jesus from the side of poor outcasts of that time living a under a brutal occupying force adminstered by viscious sycophants is not surprising.Not definitive, of course, simply another side to the story.

Professor Horsley delves behind the Christ of faith to look more closely at the historical Jesus, within his first century, Palestinian social, political and religious context. Horsley argues that far from being the innocent victim of illegitimate charges made against him by an unholy alliance of Jewish religious and Roman political authorities, Jesus was a very real threat to the ruling institutions.At least from the perspective of the social, political and religious elite, Jesus was a dangerous figure worthy of condemnation in order to maintain the Pax Romana. His radical preaching and practice of the immediate presence of the Kingdom of God implied that no other kingdom and no other authorities could justifiably be obeyed. "A slave cannot serve two masters..."For those interested in studying serious Christology, or the social and historical context of the earliest elements of the Jesus movement, this can be a valuable book.For those who wish to maintain the uninformed innocence of a Sunday School faith, this book should be avoided. Horsley is much too honest to be safe.
