We adore Mo Williams. My 6 and 7 yr old boys still can't get enough of the stories. I was excited to find a box set of hardbacks, until I recieved them and saw how small they were. The photo was deceiving, as I thought they were full sized. I should have looked at the dimensions. Quality is great, and they are wonderful books.
Love the small unabridged books! Wish all the pigeon books came like this. So much easier to bring into bed and read together than larger picture books. And of course the stories are hilarious for child and adult alike. My son loves answering no to the pigeon.
I LOVE the Mo Willems Pigeon Books (well, ALL of Mo Willems' books are great, including the Elephant and Piggie books too!). And this is a great set of the first three books (I think there are currently 5 full-length Pigeon books, 2 shorter books, and an Activity Book).However, a word of caution: The books in this set are 2/3rds the size of the original hardcover Pigeon books. These books are around 6x6 while the originals are 9x9. Just letting you know. If this doesn't matter to you, enjoy!
The stories are wonderful, but the physical books in this 3-pack are very small. I'd recommend getting "Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late!" and "The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog!" separately (i.e. normal-sized books) for roughly the same price as the 3-pack.If you need 3 books, add in "The Pigeon Needs a Bath!"
If your child loves the Pigeon books, you will both love this collection of the most popular books in the series. The collection is cute and well packaged in the little box, and my kid loves to put them all back in the box and take them out again. It also includes a Pigeon poster, which we now have hung in his bedroom.The only negative is that these are much smaller than the regular Pigeon books, but this is probably my fault as I am always buying kid's books without checking on the dimensions first.
Really cute books. My 4 year old loves them! He reads them daily, multiples times a day. He’s asked for more of these books already. I’ve purchased the other singles which will be placed in his Easter basket. It would be great so see more of the books sold like this set of 3. Great buy!
My 5 year old son loves this series of books about the pigeon. It comes in a cute box and all three are hard cover. They are smaller than most, but a perfect size for taking on the go, so we don't mind. Also, the smaller books are sometimes easier for him to handle. These stories are simple and a conversation with the reader and the pigeon who is stubborn and humorous. You get 3 books for a great price.
I ordered it because of the good reviews and these are officially my son's favorite books now. I'm always looking for books that are fun for ME to read as well as fun for him; that way it is easier to keep the reading habit going. The pigeon is hilarious! For example, the bus driver says not to let the pigeon drive the bus and through the whole book, the pigeon is trying to convince the reader to let him drive the bus. And it's so funny hearing my kid tell the pigeon no. Some of the lines the pigeon tries: "How bout I give you five bucks? Please? I'll be your best friend! I bet your mommy would let me." They were definitely worth the buy.
