According to other reviewers, this is the same info found in the Haynes Manual. It looks like the same format and information typical to Haynes Manuals to me. And that means that it will be found to be lacking info you want at some point. But it is way cheaper than the factory manuals. You can find a wealth of info for your Highlander with it for a small cost, just remember that there may be errors or admissions. At times you need to know more than is provided to know the shortcomings. When used in conjunction with info found on the internet, you should be able to save lots of money doing it yourself. I saved by buying this issue that is labeled to cover up to the 2006 Highlander. The 2007 is the same as the 2006, so I saved by buying this one instead of the one with 2007 on the cover. A useful resource for the money - but use other resources as well.
This essentially a reprint of the Haynes repair manual (see my review of that manual). Historically I purchased both, since they often had a different "spin" on the repairs -- and different photos / line drawings. But in this case, don't bother. Just get one or the other (whichever is cheapest). My perusal of both doesn't seem to indicate any differences between the books other than some minor font and header formatting
For what I needed this book for, they don't cover it. I need to replace the tail light assy and that is not in the book, the ONLY thing I needed this book for and they DON'T have the info in there. I don't see any reason why this part is not covered, it's not very technical, should be real easy to be part of this book. Last Chilton's I used was for a '96 Ford, they covered every nut and bolt, they seem to be only hitting the high spots now.
Own a Lexus 2002 300RX, when needed to replace a burnt out tail light the book gave directions only for Toyota, my husband had to help me figure out how to remove taillight since it is a totally different method than shown in book! (book is labeled to include RX300 info)
Prefer the Haynes version...also published by Chilton. Haynes books have better, easier to use indexes.

I bought this after getting a used Lexus RX300. I joined some online forums and most people recommend getting the official Lexus Manuals, although they are quite costly, I think they would be worth it...especially if you can do some repairs yourself
Excellent well written book that will allow you to repair most problems on your Toyota Highlander. I would recommend you have some mechanical experiance before trying to repair your vehical, but with this book you should have no problems.
